I first heard of Shauna Niequist a few years ago when I was going through one of her books with some great friends of mine. While I admit, I was nervous by the title of the book, Cold Tangerines, I was immediately pierced by her words and the way she had articulated and published things that I have felt my whole life but not been able to say myself. She showed me what being brave was by sharing glimpses of her life in the good and bad, and then publishing it in a book for all the world to see.
Some of the words that I relate most to are the ones that speak of true friendship. In my short time on this earth, I have had the great blessing of amazing friendships. Other women who just get me. So when I was asked to make a custom order of this quote, I jumped with joy that others, too, have been able to resonate with these words, and that they, too, have found those friendships. Cheers!
